Located in the heart of Traverse City’s downtown district, the Green House Cafe has been offering made to order breakfasts and specialty lunches since November of 2000. The Green House Cafe was started by Wally and Joy Green of Traverse City. Lifelong restaurateurs, the Green’s goal was to open a successful restaurant on Front St. that was convenient, consistently good, and reasonably priced for everyone. Wally and Joy Green owned the business for 16 years before their son Andrew and his wife Danielle Wichern purchased it in September 2015.
Green House Cafe has been a thriving business in the 100 block of West Front St. The cafe has received local awards from Northern Express, TV 7&4, and Traverse the Magazine. The Green House Cafe has been featured in publications such as Midwest Living, the Record Eagle, and several others.
